Sagi Golan | Architect & Urban Designer

Sagi is a Senior Urban Designer for Brooklyn at the NYC Department of City Planning. He holds a Bachelor‘s degree in architecture from Tel Aviv University and an M.S. in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University.

At Columbia, He was awarded the GSAPP award for excellence and the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize. Golan taught at Columbia GSAPP’s Urban Design program and has been a Guest critic at Syracuse University, Cornell University, Columbia GSAPP and NYIT.

At City Planning, he ensures a high level of design excellence in projects across Brooklyn. Sagi supports neighborhood planning initiatives, community outreach, and participates in the Borough's efforts in achieving the city wide’s affordable housing goals. Most recently his project "9x18" was awarded the 2015 AIANY Urban Design Merit Award.
